Natasha Minor, Registered Psychotherapist
MY PASSION
My passion is empowering you to live the life you want for yourself. Whatever story you bring with you, I am here to bring out your best self and support you throughout your journey of getting to where you want to be – facing any obstacles with you along the way.
I want to help you get unstuck in your personal life, career and relationships and thrive in every area of your life!
Together, we can tap into your personal power and help you feel strong, confident and emotionally healthy.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO
I love working with women because I get it, I’ve been there. I know what it is like to not feel valued and understood. I’ve felt lost. I’ve had relationships that were more work than pleasure, leaving me feeling empty and alone, like I had nowhere to turn to for support. Giving it my best but for some reason that still never felt good enough.
No woman should ever feel like she is not good enough. I want to help women realize that they are.
My ability to help heal with psychotherapy and counselling comes from my own personal story. I want to do work that inspires me, and others, everyday. Helping support women along their journey of self-discovery and empowerment is incredibly rewarding and truly an honour.
MY APPROACH
My role as a registered psychotherapist is to bring my experience and knowledge to support, guide, and empower you throughout our time together. My style is warm and rather informal. I enjoy using humor and we will laugh together at times. I will hold your hand and walk with you through your pain – I will also gently push you when you need it.
I believe, and research consistently shows, that the relationship that develops between client and therapist is the most important factor in achieving a positive outcome in therapy.
I place great importance on gaining your trust and making sure you feel heard and understood. Our therapeutic relationship becomes a safe space for you to explore, process and heal. A place where you will never be judged for crying, getting angry or not “being perfect”. When appropriate, I will introduce you to EMDR to help facilitate your healing.
Throughout therapy, we’ll explore difficult things and painful memories. You will likely feel vulnerable at times but I’ll do my best to help you feel understood, supported and safe.
I have faith in your capacity and competence to heal and create the life that you want for yourself. You are the expert on you, your life, and what you want to achieve. I’m always open to your feedback as it enhances our relationship and our work together.
You don’t have to struggle another day. Therapy can help you heal from past wounds, become stronger, happier and create the life enhancing changes you desire.
